Who we are
DomainToolsKit started with a simple frustration: checking a domain, running a WHOIS lookup or tracing DNS records always meant juggling five different websites, half of them cluttered with ads or asking for an email address before they'd give you an answer. We built this site to put all of that in one place, free, and without the sign-up wall.
What you'll find here
We cover the full range of tasks anyone registering, managing or investigating a domain runs into. Search dozens of TLDs at once to see what's available. Run a bulk check across a whole list of names if you're hunting for the right one. Pull WHOIS records to find out who owns a domain and when it expires. Look up DNS records, check propagation, find subdomains, trace an IP back to its owner, or check whether a domain's landed on a blocklist. There's an SSL checker and an open ports lookup in there too, for when you need to know a bit more about what's running on a server.
None of it needs an account. Type in what you're looking for, get your answer, move on with your day.
Why we keep it free
Domain and network lookups are the kind of thing you need occasionally but can't always predict when. Charging for that, or hiding basic results behind a paywall, never sat right with us. The tools stay free to use, and we keep improving them as we go, adding new checks and tidying up the ones that already exist.
Who it's for
Developers checking DNS propagation after a migration. Someone naming a new side project who wants to see if the .com is taken. A small business owner trying to work out who's squatting on a domain they want. We built this for all of that, not just one type of user.
